Sit and talk to Daimyo Ieyasu, who will want you to take his place in the garden disguised as himself. Prep yourself and do so -- whether you live or die you will prove your loyalty by doing so...

Three ninjas will emerge and swiftly blind everyone in the garden with Blinding Powder before proceeding to assassinate you quite efficiently.

After dying or surviving, return to the Daimyo, sit and ASK DAIMYO LOYALTY. You receive the "whois"

   ...is an agent of the Tokugawa daimyo.

You receive no experience for this part of the ongoing saga.
